Create links

It is easy to create links on your website.

To edit the text where you want to create a link, click on the pen:

Select the text, or the image, that is to become a link. For example:

Click once on the image and white squares appears around it:

Click on the button that has a small chain on it.

This box will appear:

LINK TO ANOTHER WEBSITE (URL)

You can create standard links to other websites or files/images on other websites. However, to do so you must have the exact address to the page/file/image.

"Open link in a new browser window" means that when your visitors click on your link, they still see your page and a new window to the linked page opens.
Internet etiquette says it is wrong to force a new window. This is something everyone needs to decide for themselves, but we have included the alternative here.

LINK TO AN EMAIL ADDRESS

You can write an email address directly on the page, as usual.
But you can also write "Send mail to me." and make "mail to me" an email link.

LINK TO A PAGE ON YOUR WEBSITE

It’s often a good idea to link to other pages on your website. Use this button to do so. Your page structure will appear and all you have to do is select the page you want the link to go to.

LINK TO A FILE ON YOUR WEBSITE

This is a very useful button. Use it to create links to all types of files you want to upload on your website, music, videos, documents and much more.
Click on "File" to access the File Manager  where you then select which file you want to create a link to or upload the file you want to link to.
